Dewhurst Stakes
The Dewhurst Stakes were established in 1875 and is recognised as Britain's most prestigious race for juvenile racehorses. The Group 1 Turf event is scheduled for October each year and run over seven furlongs (1400m) of the Rowley Mile at Newmarket Racecourse located in Suffolk, England. Winning requires speed and stamina with the straight course dipping to provide an uphill climb to the finish.
